Divine Dior

The Fall 2015 Haute Couture shows are currently happening in Paris. I love it when designers go all out and turn their runway spaces into equally epic viewing spaces. Drawing inspiration from the panels of Hieronymus Bosch’s “The Garden of Earthly Delights”  and the art technique of Pointillism – Raf Simons did not disappoint for Dior Haute Couture. The collection was breathtaking. He did an excellent job of keeping the Dior femininity that we’re all accustomed to, while incorporating some modernity into the collection.

What I loved most about the show was the custom made show venue which was erected at the Musée Rodin. It was constructed of raw scaffolding and transparent panels that perfectly reflected a modern take on Pointillism. Stunning. This is how you do a one day event…
